need a B/W image

Today it is Indian festival of color "Holi" and international women's day{the species that makes world colorful}. If you see these days side there is Holi, other side there were election in some of the states. We all know that these elections are also very color full, like how much color one party spill over the other parties or the party members. and if we we see little deep down to our Indian society we find there are colors and shades of colors. I consider them as disparity.

To go along with this post first we should know what is the definition of "disparity". According to Webster dictionary, "disparity" is said, as some things in collection which is not congruous, . We have multidimensional array(disparity), If i assume an array of two dimension, where u will find in one dimension the disparity with respect to food, dress, rituals and in other dimensions in each of these direction(food, dress, honesty, corruption, etc.) a disparity.
The whole idea of this post is to bring some B/W, once i was at college in rural/suburban India. There was a group photo for college. It was not told to the students and teacher about the dress code. First of all why we need the dress code.? answer is, probably we believe that uniformity is accepted to us. So when the photo session was over, i asked one of the in-charge persons , how did u find this photo ?, there is huge disparity in this picture. So if this picture will be published, the disparity among the student with respect to their financial status are visible with their affordability of high quality/end dresses. I suggested them to publish that picture in B/W. I thought it will be just shades of gray and some how we will be able to minimize the disparity, because minimizing the disparity will bring the uniformity in the system that is what maximum people are expecting for.

As shown in above figure if I consider a function which changes the colored picture to a B/W one. I can see that disparity is quite minimize or i can see that is only in one dimension it means there are three basic colors like Red, Blue and Green , each one of has their different shades but if u convert in to B/W then u have only shades of grays. It is necessary to address the shades of gray. Every one around us is gray where as, when we talk about society and itz harmony we used bring some of the roll models like Ram, , Ravan, Krishna, Jesus, etc. for sake of discussion we will consider Ram and Ravan. We always consider Ram as white and Ravan as black or we can put in other understanding of binary variable of {0, 1}. But their is a continuity between Ram and Ravan, so it means if h is any human than he/she belongs to H .

This continuity makes society disparate and we pushing the society to two extreme ends of Ram or Ravan though we belongs to a linear combinations of Ram and Ravan. In UP election recently, where as every party has projected them as a socialist. Socialist means what i understand is less disparate society . But here in the electoral system we are trying to define and find a Ravan or a Ram. But everything is gray here around with a huge spectrum. And we are looking for complete black and complete white which leads us to a wide range of shades of grays.

As a concluding remarks I hypothesize that, if we can achieve a band of two consecutive grays which has minimum disparity that will leads the society to harmony and sustainable development. It means we need to get a B/W image and that will reduce the multidimensional disparity to one dimension and than minimize the disparity in one dimension by achieving two consecutive shades of gray or one shade of gray.

Irreversible Process

I think economic liberalization(started in 1991) and globalization was clearly evident to my generation we were in our teens and graduating from our school to get an admission in an Engg. school or Med. school. why only Engg./Med. school because the middle class of India have a dream of watching their kids in a good Engg school like IITs and Med. schools(govt.). To satisfy these dreams, they(parents) used to send their kids away from them, to urban/metro cities or themselves try to settle in those cities. I also prepared for JEE but i was overqualified one of the subjects the subject that was not in the JEE syllabus, so ended with a massage on computer screen "Sorry!! you are not qualified", and further that was the year of 2000, the dot com bubble was burst, so i chose Mechanical Engg. and admission in an Engg. school(not IIT).

I remember my final year of engg., we the mechanical guys got almost a good placement with descent compensation in different companies, and my beloved computer science friends were observing the deflating dot com bubble till Dec. 2004. They used to say that " look these hammer boys got the jobs and we ...!!". But with the return of dot com booms, met them satisfied with very good jobs and and some of them settled in "the land of opportunity".

The above story is the story of more than millions of young tech gigs, who left their downtown or rural areas(villages). A large proportion of them probably are now parents of the kids of same age in which they left their town for metro cities. Almost last 15 years these metro cities are joined by new metro cities and so many new tier 2 cities. Some of the rural areas, which(gudgaon) has been eaten by urbanization and economic growth of India.

We all have seen this rural to urban migration and the metro cities are flooded with skilled and unskilled manpower. The good weather 's cities like Pune and Bangalore had attracted chop shops majorly. So the incoming skilled manpower to these cities contributed to Indian economic growth and they put limited resources(land, water) in stressed of this cities. A rapid infrastructure development also brought unskilled manpower from rural to urban. The rapid population shift was not accommodated in these new locations because the the required infrastructure to provide essential commodity like water, food and electricity was not sufficient. So this approach made the whole new urban locations with completely dissatisfied citizens. This Reminds me lecture of Engineering Thermodynamics we studied the irreversible process used to loose the energy in the form of heat and they are not efficient, particularly these processes are very fast(rapid) process.

High wages of metro cities has attracted unskilled population as well. The required manpower and interest for agriculture is getting reduced . Which can cause severe food scarcity as a matter of fact we are still in alarming situation of food insecurity . It has also raised some of the social problems. Example people who has settled to new urban environment used to hesitate to bring their rural cultured family members to urban city, has weakened the family values and binding.

There are so many problem associated with this rapid economic growth, which is not talking about the development in a holistic. we can observe the growth on stock exchange and civil infrastructure development in some selected locations. But that doesn't reflect the poverty alleviation or providing a good livelihood in terms of potable water and nutritious food to each child and citizen. Every where people are talking about sustainable development, till now i have not seen any signal in India where the problems above are addressed properly.

I believe that the decentralization of economic development and self sufficient economic system at every village level will make the difference. All the possible causes of rural to urban migration should be addressed, like education(particularly mathematics education), health services and strong infrastructure to provide potable water and a fair trading mechanism inside rural and between rural-urban with an opportunity to the village to explore for new possibilities of entertainment.

All the possible measures need to be taken to accommodate the sustainable rate of incoming skilled/unskilled population by reducing the pace of economic growth at urban level. If we will see in holistic way the total economic utility of the India will be maximum because the economic growth and development at rural level will compensate the reduction of economic growth at urban level.

!!now i am realizing the subject in which i was overqualified and it was not in the JEE syllabus, is philosophy !!

A Fascinating Mad Man

As you know most of my blogs start with my childhood memories, yet another thought with childhood memory of a man by whom i was inspired the most, was considered as mad by the society. I would like to define the "mad" according to dictionary:- Mentally disturbed or insane. Mad man means sometimes above mentioned disturbance are visible in a personality in the form of over excitement, anger, extremely emotional or thoughtful.

Most of the time when i used to hang out with my dad or friends in the town, i spotted that man, talking to himself wearing a old pajama with white cotton shirt(was no more white) moving his hand in the air looks like that he was solving a mathematical equation. I never dared to get close to him because the society(means the people around me those who think that they are normal and in equilibrium compared to that man) gave me a feeling of fear that going close to him would be harmful as a result of physical damage. But no body could speculate that the curiosity about that man in my mind was causing lot of mental damage. One fine day we three of us myself, Nikhil and Afzal saw him seating on wooden chair at one tapri( a kind of small tea shop with some snacks), that mad man was using some Greek symbols and some real numbers on piece of news paper(white area of news paper), we three were sixth standard school boy so we were exposed to such type of objects(Greek symbols and numbers) and we could think that he is dealing(playing) with mathematics. At that time we were not able to understand what exactly what a mad man used be and though we observed some abnormality but that was not sufficient to get scared off him. Nikhil was pretty fearless guy and ignoring all such warning of so called society he just approached that man and ask him "what are you doing and to whom you used talk." He turned to us with a kind of weird smile and showed that piece of paper to us that paper was in front of us in such way that it was obstructing his face(little imagination is required with the help of 9th std physics means optics). That paper was with system of linear equations and polynomials. We were not capable enough to understand his mathematical derivations but yes we got a clue that this guy is not dangerous where as he may help us in our assignments. Later we investigate about him that he was very bright mathematics student in the university and later he gone insane(according to definition of mad man in the society).

My parents were getting stressed day by day, observing increased proximity of me and my friends with that man. As we know normally a young kid always fascinated by sportsman or bollywood celebrities but in my life I was fascinated by that mad man who used talk himself and I considered him a fabulous mathematician. I always wanted to be like him who used to talk to himself. It has been almost twenty years and today I found that I started talking to myself and trying to model some of the complex phenomenon of this cosmos with the help of mathematics.


I think that the euclidean distance of normal behaved human and madmen is quite high compare to all the distances among all normal humans. Where as every one is mad with respect to other but because the euclidean distance is not quite high among their behavior which keeps that human under the normal human category . To represent those mad men with help of little maths. If I consider that whole population of human and there behavior is normally distributed than madmen lie on the tail of normal curve means beyond the +3 and -3 sigma. And if i plot human behavior of whole population in a scatter plot than these madmen will be like outliers but these outliers are useful like in my case who helped me to understand the mathematics and becomes my inspiration.

P.S. - I received couple of feedback that axes are not defined. Y-axis represents the behavior of an human and X-axis is symbolic representation of humans (like physical, social and economical status). Actually as we see that in scatter plot the points which are closed to each other nothing but there euclidean distance from each other is very less except one point(sample of mad men from population). So we assume that these all points are under the normal distributed curve between -3 to +3 sigma, further more specifically further both, curve and plot are just symbolic(intuitive) representation rather a quantitative analysis.

correlation

It is a normal mid-night, i am standing in my balcony with my last sip of tea. I saw moon and stars in the sky, the same moment i thought " what is the correlation between them, or if i bring to generality what is the correlation between two objects, existing in the universe/cosmos. over a period of time i read different streams of subjects like astrology, economics and neuro-science etc. apart of engineering. I found the fraternity of scientists are coming close to each other . They are developing new multidisciplinary areas for research as well.

I remember my school days when, i was introduced to physics mathematics and chemistry, one day my brother, he was my tutor also, told me "when u read different subjects, try to observe the correlation and establish architecture of correlated information, that will enhance your knowledge in holistic"
Now, when i am watching those stars. I found the information, that there is a study that shows a correlation between stars and pyramids of Giza i.e. Orion Correlation Theory. This theory is something that is established by the human. Apparently those objects(stars and pyramids) can't think about this correlation so the variation in the value of one star would affect the other or not i don't know? but yes according to law of gravitational force definitely there is correlation but again this correlation at human ground .

As far as my experience with linear regression in statistics, i could only say the definition of
Correlation:-the degree to which two or more attributes or measurements on the same group of elements show a tendency to vary together.

I picked up my cell phone and dialed to one of my friends , who is a statistician and i asked him " what do u know about the correlation between two objects, exist in the universe, let say what is the correlation between me and u? and if i consider me and u than we have to include my thoughts and your's too, now the situation is not linear it became non-linear and complex also." he told me about the non-linearity or curvilinear correlation but no answer about the complex situation about thoughts.

Later i thought that if i start taking interest in his girl friend and lets say dating too, what will be happening to his thoughts/actions. So means we need an area of the intersection of the sets which represents the common area of activities/thinking. I am sorry writing this logic looks difficult so i should bring some notation as follows and a figure right side.

A = set of my all actions that i can take from thinking

or

A= set of all my thoughts that i can think from the events around me

same as

B= set all of actions that he can can take from thinking

or

B= set of all his thoughts that he can think from the events around him

So that means "thinking about his girlfriend and dating her" both fall in A ∩ B and that means the changes in my variables(thoughts/action) changes his variables(thoughts/actions). Linear or nonlinear but sure, it is complex correlation definitely.
so i think or hypothesize that there is possibility that we all are, means objects, humans and, there thoughts/actions are correlated. If it is true than there is an area which will be intersection of all actions/thoughts.

i.e. A'= ∩Ai ..A'= is not zero ....where i=1 to infinity ................where i = every living non living thing/actions(or thoughts)

incomplete story

Mr. Steve Jobs, CEO, Apple Inc., I remember & Probably most of the young Graduate Students, also remember. The speech given by Steve on the occasion of Convocation ceremony at Stanford,
Out of the three stories that he narrated, one story is still incomplete, the story about his Pancreatic Cancer. Today is 17th feb. 2011, just an hour ago i came to know that the Steve's cancer is recurred.
The Man, who gave a new dimension to this world, in the field of multimedia gadgets, more specifically in the applied field of Quantum Computing and Cryptographic Codes. He is having still an incomplete or unfinished story of cancer . Cancer is Came in to existence, long back in the history more than 50 years ago.

Generally the question arises that if this is true that he will not survive more than six weeks. Than i start thinking what would be his mental status at this point of time Or in general a human who knows that he has certain fix time period in which he will be alive. Probably human start thinking that to finish the unaccomplished tasks, or he looks for more recognition, that is quite relevant to the other person like Mr. Bill Gates, probably he realized that any way he has to die one day, So he wanted the huge number of people that relates " who will cry when u die?" Concept.

So back to Steve, either he would look for more appreciation of his accomplishments, or whether i m a big nut of thinking this crap. He doesn't have this state of mind. He might be in the state of numbness. But most of the cases normally human adopts most optimistic behavior that, "i will be OK, again". and this is will be a another story to tell, so. If Steve takes that he will recover again, as he could do in the past, Sometime the casual behavior about our future wellness, takes us to realization of a truth with an event in our life. The event which is correlated to so many events, but that event becomes our destiny and looks completely absolute to us. Which completes the story ............

Inflation, Deflation and Friction force on onion

Inflation, deflation(negative inflation) these are the economic terms which never attract any attention of science or Engineering graduate, and our early childhood we always ignore the page of Business and Economy of daily news paper, as a Mechanical Engineer i was fond of the forces(classical mechanics). As a normal S&T geek, i only used to surf the news paper from front page to directly sports page and further check some pictures of beautiful useless celebrity(female) in film section. My brother was in medical grad school so, as his motivation, i also used to pretend my self as S&T geek, tried to read all scientific magazines subscribed in our home and later my pretending attitude eventually made me interested in to science and technology. That leaded me to engineering school as a Mechanical Engineering graduate.

Back to my high school days, my home was isolated from the city and a single house was situated just center of the big farm site(politically isolated from the community). In the evening my father's office friends used come to our home for chatting as normal political (from local to international issues), and i considered my self as an intelligent student. Instead of study i used seat with my father, ignoring my mother's advices(shouting), I used participate in the discussion over the Gulf war to the Chechnya, J&K and Indian electoral candidates' fate on the table of our drawing room. the only realization of my intelligence to me was nothing but, my parents' fake ego satisfaction among their friends, with my school grades. This flashback which associated with my exposure to only S&T and Politics, although my sister was having major subjects like economics and commerce, but i couldn't motivated in to in, possibly because i never had a scarcity with resources, apart of that it was not interesting to me because it was not physically visible as the normal forces, i could feel with mechanisms.

The world economy downturn of 2008 drew my attention to economics. That was the only time when, i had started my spiritual journey after quitting the job. Every day, news papers were talking about the deflation, that motivated me to know about economics, and first time i tried to understand the definition of inflation and deflation keeping all mechanical forces aside specially my favorite force of Friction. Government from all over the globe and the economist were in the havoc because of negative inflation. As normal Indian guy who has no idea about the stock pricing and economics, i was really happy that we got negative inflation and the goods will be cheaper. cheers have party!!. but later i understood these economists consider, the positive inflation as a significance of economical growth of the world and for the particular country, so means the expansion of the economy was seized. And than i realized the importance of the page of Business and Economy which i ignores in my child hood and connection with politics. Politics which helps countries to go for war for there economic benefits. This is December 2010 and food (onion) price are flying high just like , same as a young boy used to fly high after six puffs of Marijuana. The inflation rate is 12.13% and again the political parties looking towards the economists and every one is in havoc, i don't know what happened to there economic growth now the inflation positive, but again the constipating economic situation.

So coming back to my engineering basics, what i read in basic thermodynamics that universe entropy is increasing and entropy is nothing but measure of randomness. We can put in other way that all processes are irreversible, we can also put in other way that all processes have irreversibility in the form of losses also. If we imagine that earth(onion) is on an inclined plane, why on inclined plane?, because it will be having dynamic enjoyment in all the aspect, means rolling, along the change with elevation too. Elevation is nothing but kind of more utility derivation, and that is nothing but the measure of our happiness. Which is also considered as economic growth. That requires some kind of rolling effect and in that process, every point on the surface of globe which passes an touches the inclined plane is in static friction condition. But if the world economics and politics will push globe hard over the optimum force. It will start skidding on the plane and with increased irreversibility in the process, the bottom surface will be heated . Than all the economist and politician in will be in the havoc. The basic reason behind that is, human always consider that politics and economics are intelligent. But apparently these are the fake ego of human race with wrong notion of economic development. same as that my parents had with me with my intelligence !!

note: After receiving initial feed back from the readers, i understood that most of the people has considered the first two paragraph as crap, and that needs more explanation. First two paragraph writer is exposed to only politics and science so his view point is political and scientific to see the world, further he exposed to economics and spirituality so the meaning of rolling and static friction condition of the each point on globe is nothing but talking about sustainable(achieving close to reversible Process) and spiritual development of human race, achieving the joy, rather materialistic happiness resultant of instantaneous economic development.

God and Human Hand

A particular religious person believes that god belongs to a certain types of idol or place or whatever means. Every religious place usually, there will be some religious regulatory body which is termed as trust, which takes care the faith of the people and the functioning of temple/mosque/church as a system. they defined the methods to worship, type of donations, utilizations of those endowment. they decide that who will enter ? how he will enter? and how much time is allotted to see the idols or etc. If I consider that every action that each human being is taking is the will of a god than probably that the actions of those people are also the god's will.. so it means that the God itself/himself/herself wanted to be played /controlled by the human hands.

Whenever somebody talks about the God, most of the time a question goes across my mind, where is God? how does it/he/she look like? is that possible to feel the god by our limited senses? and if he is the only who taking care of the whole planet who has given that authority to the god?or itz just a illusionary thought of a human way back in to the past that we couldn't under stand the randomness of this cosmos and the things Which was beyond our understanding termed as god's will and we create the invisible identity which take cares of the those randomness.
In this context i remember a book "The Black Swan" wrote by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, i will not take the full reference but the Philosophy behind that book which talks about the uncertainty related to world economy and the events those are considered as accidents, couldn't be predicted well before they happened, as like till we were not aware of black swan, and no body could predict that a black swan would be possibly exist on this planet if someone speaks about the swan we immediately imagine a picture of white swan. same as most of the accidents (in the economics of in physical world) occurred couldn't be predicted well before and even if they have been predicted, people couldn't prevent the after effects of those accidents,
And thats how term of "God" comes into the picture that whatever either we couldn't Predict or cant Prevent is something over us as an identity of god and he take cares of those uncertainty and the human hands made the god's manifestation in terms of idol/place or whatever means by which the human believes that some body is there as god and his hand is over us to protect and prosperous us.
But the question still exist where is god's hand? or is there Human hand on god at ever religious places.
